The Jackson Police Department continues its investigation into a shooting on Preston St., today.

The victim has been identified as Wendy Pickett, the president of Saving the Animals Together.

“FB friends: by now you may have heard or read about the woman who was shot on Preston Street today. That woman was our president and the heart’s blood of STAT (Saving the Animals Together), Ms. Wendy Pickett.

Wendy is now at Vanderbilt hospital, and listed in stable but critical condition. All of us at Saving The Animals Together ask for your thoughts, your prayers, and your strength to help Wendy in this fight of her life. From all of us at STAT, thank you.”
