In a statement released by the University of Memphis on Monday afternoon, they announced that their game against UT Martin on November 21 has been officially cancelled.

According to CBS Sports, UT Martin informed Memphis on Monday that they will not be able to play the game.

With the cancellation, Memphis is now down to 10 games for the 2020-2021 season. After the Big Ten moved to conference only – and ultimately cancelled their season – the game against Purdue was moved off the schedule.

Following the announcement of the cancellation of the game against the Skyhawks, Memphis claimed that they are actively weighing options for a replacement.

“UT Martin officials have informed us that they will be unable to play the schedule football game on November 21. We are considering options for a potential replacement and will provide further updates when available.”
