From the Jackson Police Department –

On 8/14/2020 around 1:45 p.m., officers of the Jackson Police Department were called to a large disturbance in the area of 100 Lincoln Courts involving several people fighting and possibly armed.

As officers were responding to the area a shooting occurred. Officers located an adult male victim who had been shot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later was pronounced deceased. A second adult male gunshot victim was located on N. Highland Ave. and was transported to the hospital. This victim was to surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.
