The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 48 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 1,235 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include nine inmates from the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.

The newest confirmed cases include 31 males, 17 females, and range from ages 1 to 82.

Our Epidemiology staff is still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

Fourteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.

Seven hundred twenty-six Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 67 people say they are feeling better.
