Health Department confirms 939 COVID-19 cases in Madison County; up 37 from Tuesday

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 37 more confirmed cases of COVID-19. We now have 939 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include:

  • 29-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)
  • 56-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 63-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 27-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 67-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 29-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)
  • 32-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 3-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 74-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 20-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 24-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 23-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 67-year-old male (unknown hospitalization)
  • Unknown male (not hospitalized)
  • 9-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 23-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • 25-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • 64-year-old female (not hospitalized)

Our Epidemiology staff is still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

Fifteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.

Six hundred forty-six Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19, and 46 people say they are feeling better.
