Health Department confirms 13th COVID-19 death; case count reaches 847 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 36 more confirmed cases of COVID-19. We now have 847 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

A 53-year-old male died due to complications from COVID-19, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 13 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include:

  • 21-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)

Our Epidemiology staff is still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

Thirteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

Five hundred eighty-three Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19, and 36 people say they are feeling better.
