BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its Volleyball All-Decade team spanning 2010-19, and Union University’s Meghan Delaney was named honorable mentioned.
Delaney, a native of Aurora, Ill., is coming off a season where she led Union to its first-ever GSC Tournament as a 4-seed. Union won its first-round match and advanced to the semifinals.
Delaney was named first-team All-GSC, AVCA All-American, D2CCA All-American, and D2CCA and AVCA All-Region.
She finished last season third in the nation with 520 kills. Delaney has been a three-time GSC Honor Roll selection, once named GSC All-Academic, TSWA Player of the Week, GSC Player of the Week, and South Region Crossover All-Tournament.
In Delaney’s two seasons of GSC volleyball this past decade, she has posted career numbers of 242 sets, 67 matches, 803 kills, .379 hitting percentage, 62 aces, 645 digs, and 104 blocks.
