From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting around 12:45 p.m. on the 45 Bypass near Old Humboldt Road. A male victim was driving south on the Bypass when someone in a red or maroon 4 door Infiniti fired a shot at his vehicle. The victim’s window was damaged and he suffered minor injuries.

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department have a person in custody. Formal charges are pending at this time and this is still an ongoing investigation. The Jackson Police Department would like to thank the citizens of Jackson for calling in with information about this incident. One of the tips received led investigators to a suspect involved in the incident.
