Waste Management of Tennessee sent a letter to the City of Jackson and Mayor Scott Conger regarding “Notice of Force Majeure Event Potentially Preventing Full Contract Performance.”

“We appreciate how Waste Management Inc., of Tennessee is handling the situation regarding waste pick-up in our city. We encourage all of our citizens to be patient at this time. We will do our part to communicate to our citizens of any changes.” – Mayor Scott Conger.

We want to remind our citizens to be sure to bag and tie all residential waste and to not set out loose trash. Please place your bagged trash in cans with secure lids. Waste management will promptly contact Kathleen Huneycutt to advise her of any necessary temporary collection schedule changes.
