North Brownsville shooting investigation needs help from public

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.-Interim Police Chief Barry Diebold says Crimestoppers has reward money for information that would help bring to justice those involved in a shooting incident that occurred earlier this week in the Thomas Street/Highway 54 North area.

Diebold says the incident did not result in injury and he does not believe it was the result of earlier violence in the same area but officers have been able to learn little about what happened.

Investigators say the incident, which occurred at an apartment complex where a man was shot last fall, was not a drive-by shooting and was most likely the result of a disagreement between one or more people.

Police believe there are people who know the identity of the combatants but so far have not been willing to speak-up.

The Crimestoppers telephone number is 772-CASH. All information provided by calling the number can be done so anonymously.
