Serving the community and developing his leadership skills encouraged Aidan Wright, one of nine Jackson high school juniors to become a member of the Mayor’s Youth Council.
“This is a great opportunity to do both of those things,” said Wright, a student at Trinity Christian Academy, “I hope to gain some experience in the community in how I can serve my peers, and how I can get the youth involved in community issues, and how we can address that and solve those issues as well.”
Tom Hughes, TCA’s upper school principal, said he is encouraged about Aidan’s participation.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Aidan to be a part of seeing how government works and the decision making process,” Hughes said, “He’s a great representative, it looks like the other students are as well, and we’re real excited (Aidan) is going to be representing our school (TCA) and what he is going to learn from this process.”
