JACKSON Tenn, (May 15, 2015) – Have you heard the expression, “Walk a mile in their shoes”? It is about compassion, empathy and in general the ability to think yourself into another person’s shoes. Sometimes a person can get so down they think no one has ever been in their shoes.
You can show you do care and walk the 1.5-Mile trail for suicide prevention and awareness.
The event is organized by West Tennessee Healthcare. The event will feature special guest speakers and musicians.
Learn how you can prevent suicide and make Jackson a suicide-safe community.
Sponsors include Amerigroup, Aspell, City of Jackson, Compass and NAMI, Lakeside, Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network, Youth Recovery, Youth Town, and Pathways Behavioral Health Services.
