With student absences near 20 percent, Trinity Christian Academy – which closed Wednesday – will remain closed through Friday.
The campus, including the field house will be disinfected.
Several students and staff are experiencing illness due to strains of the flu and flu-like viruses.
According to the school’s Facebook page, administrators “feel it is in the best interest of our students and faculty to close the rest of this week to allow time for rest and healing and also for the school to have a detailed cleaning.
“We would like to encourage families to wash coats, jackets, lunchboxes, and any other school-related items before returning.
“We will resume a regular school schedule on Monday, February 10th for all students who are fever and symptom-free for 24 hours.”
