The body of a man who went missing after a kayak capsized on Forked Deer Channel in Spring Creek, Saturday, has been recovered.
Eric Turner, Madison County Fire Chief, said the man’s identification was being withheld until next of kin had been notified.
Turner also added the accident was still under investigation.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Air One began the search after another man, who was also boating, called for help after making it to shore safely.
The location of the channel is in the vicinity of Highway 152 and Highway 70.
Original reports said the people involved were in a canoe.
