Black Tie & Boxing, a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, will host its 4th annual event to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Saturday, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
Black Tie & Boxing uniquely combines a black-tie dinner with a series of sanctioned Kickboxing and MMA matches where solid fighters will duke it out fighting for a cure of Type One Diabetes.
Tables are sold out. Cocktail hour for table guests begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and live
fights.
General Admission tickets (balcony seating) are available in advance for $25 at blacktieandboxing.com.
Door sales will be available until sold out for $35. General admission doors open at 6:30 p.m., and fights begin at 7:30 p.m.
Millions of people around the world live with Type One Diabetes (T1D), a life-threatening
autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults.
There is no way to prevent it, and at present, no cure. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the world’s largest nonprofit funder of type one diabetes research. In addition to research, JDRF advocates for policies that accelerate access to new therapies that make day to day life with T1D easier while providing a support network for the millions of people impacted by T1D. Funds raised at Black Tie & Boxing will go directly to the JDRF West Tennessee Chapter.
