‘Recall not justified’ – Jackson-Madison County NAACP issues statement

Jackson-Madison County NAACP Agrees with Madison County Chancellor Butler, recall not justified.

The Jackson-Madison County NAACP recognizes that racism continues to plaque the Jackson Madison County community. The recent efforts of a few disgruntle non-supportive community members, drummed up senseless charges for a recall election of Jackson-Madison County School Board member Doris Black, who was duly elected by the district a few months earlier, was an attempt to bully her, in the interest of their narrow points of views.

The NAACP supports The Jackson-Madison County School System in its attempt to educate ALL STUDENTS, and its effort to create a “World Class School System.” The NAACP will continue to fight ineffective education that disregards inequality and equitable outcomes for all students. “Today was a good day, because when we fight, we win.”
