Kayla Armstrong, the owner of Elite Bar & Grill, 45 Broadview Drive, became a no-show for a Show Cause hearing during the Jackson Beer Board’s monthly meeting at the City Council Chambers, Tuesday.

But the board took matters into its own hands and revoked the beer license for the business which was the location of two shooting deaths in September.

Marcus Maxwell and Cornelius Roberson were killed in the shootings at the business, which is closed and has plywood covering what used to be the entrance.

According to investigators a fire was intentionally set the following day at the business.
