Jackson, Tenn. (April 24, 2015) – Jackson and Tennessee will make up game in Kodak next month
For the third consecutive series, weather interfered with a series finale as the Jackson Generals and Tennessee Smokies were postponed on Friday due to rain at The Ballpark at Jackson. This contest will be made up in Kodak, Tenn. when the Generals visit the Smokies next month. The specific time and date of the makeup is to be determined.
Fans who had tickets for Friday’s game can visit the box office at The Ballpark at Jackson to exchange for a ticket to any other Jackson Generals home game during the 2015 season.
This series was tied at two games apiece with Tennessee (8-5) rallying for back-to-back wins after Jackson (4-8) won the first two contests. Because this was the only scheduled series in Jackson between the Generals and the Smokies, Tennessee will host the make-up game at Smokies Stadium.
Jackson continues its season with a road trip to Riverwalk Stadium for a five-game series with the Montgomery Biscuits. The probable pitchers for the series opener are Generals right-hander Dylan Unsworth (0-2, 7.00) and Biscuits righty Jaime Schultz (1-0, 1.84). First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. CT, and fans can listen to the action on the TJ Network (AM 1390, FM 94.1 and 94.3). Brandon Liebhaber will be on the air at 6:20 pm CT for the Jackson Generals Pregame Show protected by the Tennessee Army National Guard.
The next Generals homestand is a five-game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos that runs from Thursday, April 30 through Monday, May 4. Homestand highlights include Jabari Greer Bobblehead and South Side High School Night on Friday, May 1 and Star Wars Night on Saturday, May 2, which will also feature a postgame fireworks display and an auction for Jackson’s Star Wars-themed jerseys.
