West Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic, P.C. welcomes Jace R. Smith, M.D., as its new orthopedic surgeon in Jackson.
According to a press release, Dr. Smith, a Jackson native and fellowship-trained in sports medicine, also specializes in general orthopedic surgery, arthroscopy, joint replacement and reconstruction, and anterior approach hip replacement.
He practices at the clinic’s main location, 24 Physicians Drive.

He earned his medical degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., and a fellowship in sports medicine at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Jackson, Miss.
He served as Team Physician for Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Ky., and Huntington High School in Huntingdon, W.Va.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University School of Jackson in 2003. He is the son of Jackson hematology and oncology specialist Dr. Clyde Smith. His brother, Dr. Garrison Smith, is a general surgeon in Jackson.
