Jackson Police Department – press release regarding early morning stabbing

At approximately 9:30 this morning, August 21st, officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to 75 Silverdale Cove for a report of a domestic assault.

Officers responding to the scene located an elderly male complaining of an injury to his hip and a female suffering with an apparent severe abdominal injury caused by a knife that was protruding from her stomach.

The female was airlifted to Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis.

Investigators from the the investigations division are on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
