The Milan Fire Department responded to a massive blaze at a seemingly abandoned warehouse adjacent to Milan Box Corp. and the Milan Public Works offices on College Street around 4 p.m., Thursday.
Witnesses on the scene believed the structure to be empty, but describe hearing a loud explosion when the fire began.
The structure collapsed as firefighters attempted to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes and businesses.
It is unclear if there were any injuries, but EMS responded to the scene as well.
The fire currently appears to have burned itself out, but firefighters are still on the scene working to prevent reignition.
