The Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors passed seven resolutions during their monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Thursday.
The directors approved the purchase of 2,000 Remote Disconnect Meters from Anixter for $170,000 ($66.30 each), and 2,000 Communication Modules from Tantalus for $132,600 or $85 each.
The directors approved the purchase of Distribution Transformers from Stuart C. Irby of Jackson, for $54,925.
The Board authorized a contract with Asplundh Tree Expert Company for the trimming of 34 electric distribution feeder circuits and miscellaneous trimming as requested per their submitted bid of $522,459.38.
The Board approved the purchase of 2,000 ITRON ERTs for the Gas Division at a cost of $124,320 from United Systems & Software of Benton, Kentucky.
The Board authorized a contract with JM Roofing Company of Milan, in the not to exceed amount of $258,376, which includes a contingency in the amount of $10,000 for the roof replacement at the North Water Treatment Plant.
The Board approved the appointment of Rowland Fisher to serve as a member of the Employee Health Benefits Committee for a five-year term, which expires June 30, 2024.
The Board approved the appointment of Monte Cooper to serve as a member of JEA’s Retirement Plan Administrative Committee for a five-year term, which expires June 30, 2024.
