In the first three hours of voting, turnout is extremely light.

At the Carl Perkins Civic Center, 24 votes had been cast in the runoff to select the Mayor of Jackson.

At Festivities, or Premier Place on North Highland Avenue, 53 voters made their choice between Scott Conger or Jerry Woods.

The numbers improved, only slightly at North Side High School, where 84 voters took time to exercise their right, and 82 at the VFW on North Highland Avenue had voted.

There are 19 precincts.

Polls close at 7 p.m., today.
