Jackson, TN…The Board of Education for the Jackson-Madison County school system has hired a temporary replacement for Dr. Eric Jones.
Last night the board hired Chief Operations Officer Ray Washington to fill the interim job as Superintendent of Schools. The other candidate for the position was Jared Myracle. Washington was selected by an 8-1 vote by the board.
The final day for Dr. Eric Jones as school superintendent is May 31, with Washington stepping into the director of schools position June 1.
