JACKSON Tenn (April 9, 2015) – The National Weather Storm Prediction Center Has Upgraded Tomorrow’s Severe Weather Risk To “Enhanced”
West TN has been placed in an Enhanced Risk status. An ENHANCED Risk is defined as “an area of greater (relative to Slight risk) severe storm coverage with varying levels of intensity.”
FOR TODAY…
Severe thunderstorms are likely Thursday into Thursday night across southern portions of the great lakes region…And much of the middle Mississippi and Ohio valleys into the southeastern plains. This will include the risk for damaging wind gusts and large hail. A couple of strong tornadoes are possible.
There is an ENHANCED risk of severe thunderstorms for all of West TN.

WEATHER HAZARDS AND TIMING…
At this time all severe weather types will be possible…damaging wind gusts, large hail and isolated tornadoes with a couple of strong tornadoes possible.
The time of the greatest risk will be Thursday evening and overnight.
