One building has been razed, and work continues on the parking lot at Hamilton Hills Shopping Center, at 581 Old Hickory Boulevard.
“We’re making repairs due to the storm water drainage system, which caused some damage to the building that was the former Asia Garden,” said Brandon Buchanan, Buchanan Realty Group, “It’s the same kind of issue Kroger had.”
Buchanan was making reference to infrastructure problems that occurred when a water line broke behind Kroger, 41 Stonebrook Place in West Towne Commons in late August, 2018.
Asia Garden Chinese & Japanese Restaurant remains in Hamilton Hills Shopping Center.
The popular restaurant relocated to 660 Carriage House Drive, from 581 Old Hickory Boulevard.
The building razed in Hamilton Hills was located between Dollar General and Harbor Freight Tools, and Buchanan said his company is in negotiations with Harbor Freight Tools about expansion.
