According to a press release, Madison County Sheriff John Mehr has cancelled the recent BOLO alert for Devoris Antoine Newson, who was allegedly involved in a shooting that occurred at 451 Pipkin Road in Jackson, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Monday.

Newson, who surrendered to a deputy with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department at 2:10 p.m., today, was considered to be armed and dangerous with at least one handgun.

He was wanted on multiple charges which included Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Kidnapping, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
