Mickey Marley inducted into TSSAA Hall of Fame, Saturday

Mickey Marley was one of nine people inducted into the 2019 TSSAA High School Sports Hall of Fame, during a luncheon at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Murfreesboro, Saturday.

Marley, a teacher and head football coach at Rosenwald Middle School in Trenton, was the head football coach at University School of Jackson for 27 years, where he compiled a record of 245-91.

The Bruins played for the TSSAA state championship five times.

USJ also made 10 state semi-final appearances, and played in 15 quarterfinal games.

Marley was also the dean of students, and served as athletic director from 1994 until 2002.

Marley, who received numerous coach of the year honors, is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame, the Franklin High School Sports Hall of Fame, and the Tennessee Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
