A Little Chill Didn’t Keep Supporters Away From The Taste Of Jackson

JACKSON Tenn (March 27, 2015) – If you were concerned about the weather for Thursday evening. No worries.  Coffman’s Furniture generously donated heaters to help warm the downtown Farmer’s Market for the 29th Annual Taste Of Jackson.  There was also the heat from 26 restaurants cooking under 1 roof.

Restaurants, Bakeries, and a variety of other participants were prepared to warm your insides with samples of featured new dishes and some familiar favorites.  Restaurants included the log-time supporters like Zaxby’s and Old Country Store as well as newcomers with established reputations like Carl Jones’ new venture Say Grace.  There were also several tents with liquid libations that would knock off the chill.

No Taste of Jackson is complete without entertainment. This year T.O.J. had entertainment in 2 areas for the evening with fantastic music! Steve Short and Scott Myatt giving performances at one stage. Musical entertainment also featured Mickey Utley accompanied by Chad Caprio.

Restaurants, Bakeries, Distilleries, and other vendors gave out samples, gave prizes, and show off their business. But, they said most importantly they were there to show support for the work of the March of Dimes and thank those who support them.

The Taste of Jackson is one of the main annual fund-raisers for the West Tennessee March of Dimes.  Their work helps mothers have full-term pregnancies, and researches birth defects that threaten the health of babies. There moto is “Working Together For Stronger, Healthier Babies.
