JACKSON Tenn (March 20, 2015) — Billy Mullin Jr. appeared in court. Mullin is accused of assaulting a Jackson police officer when he was being arrested.
On March 8 police responded to a call of shots fired in the 100 block of Stonewall Street.
A suspect was seen with a handgun in plain view. The suspect was questioned and subsequently arrested.
According to the affidavit, as Mullins was being placed in the patrol car, he kicked the arresting officer. Later while he was being booked the statement says Mullins threw his entire body against the officer.
Mullin also had a pair of brass knuckles, a substance that appeared to be marijuana and a bag containing what looked like cocaine in his pockets, according to the affidavit.
Mullins case has been sent to the Grand Jury.
