JACKSON, Tenn, (March 17, 2015) – The National Association for Black Veterans is hosting an information session/membership drive on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Jackson-Madison County Branch NAACP office .
The event was previously scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2015. However, it was postponed due to inclement weather.
The meeting will provide local African-American Veterans with information on resources, claims, benefits, health care and how to organize a local chapter. There will also be a discussion on the prevalence of prostate cancer among Veterans exposed to Agent Orange.
“I welcome NABVETS to our city and look forward to providing the support and resources to those who have so courageously served our country – our veterans”, said Brooks.
