Selling beer to an underage informant resulted in a 30-day suspension of a beer permit at S&S Food Mart LLC, 223 Airways Boulevard.

But the Jackson Beer Board – after watching a video of the transaction – considered the sale unintentional, and a fine of $2,500 was levied – in lieu of suspension, if paid within seven days.

The Board also approved a request from William Keith Davis, for businesses known as Smoke Shop 1, 721 Old Hickory Blvd., Cigarettes Cheaper, 2643 North Highland Ave., and R&D Tobacco Partners, 1660 South Highland Ave., to sell, store and distribute beer for consumption off the premises.

Abdulmalek Alnaijar, who owns Old Hickory Fuel Mart, 644 Old Hickory Blvd., was approved to sell, store and distribute beer for consumption off the premises.

Abdallah B.A. Jaber, who owns South Side Market, 1353 South Highland Ave., was approved to sell, store and distribute beer for consumption off the premises.

Alejandro Gomez Rodriguez, who owns Te’Kila Mexican Bar & Grill, 155 Stonebrook Place, was approved to sell, store and serve beer on the premises where sold.

Randy S. Hall was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer during a Christmas program at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, Dec. 13.

Joe A. Sanders was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer during an event at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, Dec. 22.

Andrea Hudgins, representing Habitat for Humanity, was approved for a special occasion permit to was approved to sell, store and serve beer during a Dec. 31 event at the New Southern Hotel.

Hotel 126 Old Medina Opco, LP, has purchased the Residence Inn Jackson, 126 Old Medina Crossing, and was approved for a permit to sell, store and serve beer.
