Leading up to the January performances of classic musical “Peter Pan,” Jackson Christian Theatre will host a pancake breakfast 8 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the school’s cafeteria. Characters and cast members will serve guests pancakes, pose for photos and perform an interactive scene.
Tickets are $8. Purchase tickets at shop.jcseagles.org by Nov. 29 at 5 p.m.
All proceeds benefit the Jackson Christian Theatre.
Jackson Christian’s award winning theatre group will perform 11 shows of the 1954 Broadway version of “Peter Pan: The Musical” January 16-20 and January 24-26, 2019, at Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center, The Ned, in downtown Jackson, 314 East Main Street. School age groups may view performances at 9 a.m. or at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16. Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Recognized by the Orpheum Theatre Group High School Musical Awards, Jackson Christian’s theatre program has been invited twice to perform at Disney World and has a high level of student participation.

Based on the play by Sir James M Barrie, “Peter Pan” was adapted into a musical with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and music by Morris “Moose” Charlap. True to the classic plot of “Peter Pan,” the musical follows a boy who escapes growing-up by spending his life in Neverland, battling pirates alongside his new friends, the Darling children.
