One person has been admitted to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a shooting in the 200 Block of Middle Avenue, Friday.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to the area of First and Middle Avenue for a call of a victim suffering from gunshot injuries.
Emergency Medical Services transported the individual to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Jackson Police Department continues the investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to call the the JPD at (731) 425-8400.
