Sherry Freeman, who became the interim executive director of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, November 1, becomes full-time in February, 2019.
According to a press release, Freeman is a longtime patron and supporter of the Jackson Symphony and has worked in the local education sector with both Lambuth University and the Jackson Madison-County School District over the course of her professional career.
She brings a wealth of leadership experience and community knowledge to this new role.
“I could not be happier with Sherry’s decision to join our organization,” said Dustin Summers, JSO Board Chairman. “The candidate search was a long, tough process, but I am confident that we have found the right person for the job.”
