Captain D’s, 1761 South Highland Avenue, opens at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Chad Vaughn, a resident of Waverly, owns the restaurant, which consists of about 2,000-square-feet, and will have seating for 52.

Restaurant hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.

Headquartered in Nashville, Captain D’s owns, operates and franchises restaurants in 20 states.

Captain D’s restaurants serve a wide variety of fish and seafood, including freshly prepared entrees, and the company’s signature hand-battered fish fillets, which are prepared to order.
