Residents lined the walls of Jackson City Hall for Thursday night’s Jackson Madison County Schools board meeting. Community interest in the meeting grew when the agenda was released last week with a number of agenda items including one bell time, two new Montessori schools, an elementary school on a high school campus and others had residents to learn more. Many came to have their voices heard.
After introductory procedures a motion was passed to table most of the items on the agenda for discussion at the upcoming board meeting retreat later this month.
Speaking at the meeting Superintendent Eric Jones said it will take everyone to turn Jackson Madison County Schools around…and will also take time. Jones added some of what has to be done some people won’t like.
Superintendent Jones also revealed revisions to his 10 year capital plan. (link to see plan)
