From a concession stand, which included a truck and a grill, to a permanent location off Interstate 40 at Highway 70, you might not think Josh Wadley’s story could not get any bigger, but it is going to expand.
Josh, who opened Exit 87 BBQ, Feb. 28, 2007, is in the process of adding a new parking lot, and eventually – a new restaurant – on .92 acres directly behind the existing facility.
We (have) approval for our site plans, and we are putting in new truck parking and a future new restaurant, Josh said, “This is safer than the parking lot we have right now, and it’s just an awesome experience.”
The site plan shows a parking lot with a total of 11 car and 11 semi-truck parking spaces, which meets the parking requirements for a restaurant.
It is configured with two driveways, the one to the north will be shared access for future development.
The parking layout, driveways and drive aisles are all designed to meet city specifications and allow for the proper circulation of internal and external traffic.
