Maxine Chism, a 15-year employee at West Tennessee Healthcare, was named employee of the month for September, during the Board of Trustees monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.

The presentation was made Tim Adams, a vice president of West Tennessee Healthcare, facilities management executive director Larry Betler and plant operations director Doug Sellers.

View as a ‘silent hero,’ Maxine is the maintenance service coordinator, where she has shown the same caring attitude toward her co-workers and her customers.

She has made a point to acquire a hands on knowledge of the maintenance processes so she can inform her customers of what will be involved to meet their requests.

She is respected for her Christian attitude and prayer life that spills over to the members of the department – and she is full of enthusiasm and patience.
