The Jackson Generals open play in the Southern League Playoffs against the Montgomery Biscuits at The Ballpark at Jackson, at 6:05 p.m., today.
The Generals, the 2016 Southern League champions and Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, qualified for the playoffs after winning the first half of the season.
Game 2 of the best of 5 series will be played in Jackson, Thursday, before play resumes in Montgomery, Friday.
The Biloxi Shuckers and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos begin play for the South Division title, today.
