Confusion remains as convenience store owner looks for third meeting with Beer Board

The owner of the Hot Spot convenience store, 1291 North Highland Avenue, is hoping the third time is a charm when he said he is scheduled to meet with the Jackson Beer Board, July 11.

Just one problem – Charles Rahm who chairs the Beer Board said he is unaware of any such meeting.

Adhabah M. Annamer had his initial request of a beer permit denied June 5.

Three weeks later, Annamer was granted a permit, which was placed on hold because of a question of his conviction for an illegal sale of alcohol in August 2014.

Records show he was convicted.
