The West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees approved a resolution to purchase area Tennova healthcare facilities for $67 million in March, and new signage places the final touches on the transaction.
Community Health Systems, which owns Tennova, announced in early 2018 it was divesting some of its hospitals.
Area Tennova medical facilities include three hospitals in Jackson, Dyersburg and Martin.
Tennova Healthcare – Regional Jackson becomes West Tennessee Healthcare North Hospital, and will operate as a satellite of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, while providing general acute care services.
Dyersburg Regional is now West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
The new name for Volunteer Martin is West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.
Plans call for West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital and West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital to continue as general acute care hospitals.
