Yesterday morning we reported that there was a bad wreck on the interstate. It was near the 68 mile-marker in Madison County near the Haywood County line.
Today there is still no Highway Patrol report yet available.
Sources tell us there was a family of five—including three children—traveling eastbound in a large SUV. The truck left the road and tumbled — several passengers were ejected.
Numerous rescue workers made the scene and four air ambulances were dispatched, eventually taking all five occupants to areas hospitals. We haven’t heard the conditions of the victims or why the truck left the road. Sources also told us some of the passengers were likely unrestrained.
Buckle your seat belts.
