Madison County Sheriff John Mehr is praising the involvement of four local citizens and Sgt. Tom Knolton for their roles in persuading a 27 year old male from an attempted suicide.
According to a press release, Sheriff Mehr extends appreciation to Tiffany Marshall, Arthur Signoracci, Lilly Cartwright and Akeiyla Adams and acknowledges Sgt. Knolton’s  C.I.T. (Crisis Intervention Team training) played an important role in this rescue.
The call came into Dispatch at 9:52 a.m., Wednesday.
When Sgt. Knolton arrived on the scene, Henderson Road at the Interstate 40 bridge, four individuals were talking to the distressed man, who appeared to be upset.
After several minutes, Knolton was able to convince the individual to sit down and then allow him to transport him to Pathways without any other issues.
