(December 7, 2014) BROWNSVILLE Tenn — According to Brownsville authorities on Friday officers responded to a call of shots fired in the Tammbell area.
Officers say upon arrival they located 21-year-old Briana Adams, of 1005 Tammbell with a gunshot wound to her foot. She was transported to Jackson Madison County General Hospital in non-critical condition.
According to investigators, it was determined that Antonio Vento Malone Jr. of Memphis shot at another subject a number of times after he took an undetermined amount of marijuana from him.
Adams was not involved in the theft of the marijuana and was standing just outside her residence, according to officers.
Police say they received information that Malone had fled to Jackson. Along with the assistance of the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task, Malone was captured at a residence in Jackson sometime around 3am on Saturday.
Malone is charged with two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and delivery of a controlled substance. Also charged was 32-year-old Latashia Shantell McDaniel, of Brownsville with Criminal Conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and
Accessory after the Fact. Both are being held in the Haywood County Criminal Justice Complex without bond.
This investigation is still ongoing.
