JACKSON, Tenn. — One of the attorneys representing a man accused of kidnapping and killing Holly Bobo has been suspended from practicing law by the Tennessee Supreme Court. Herbison represents Jason Autry who faces charges in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo.
John Herbison will be suspended for 60 days and then placed on probation for 16 months because of three complaints alleging misconduct, according to state documents.
The release says Herbison’s suspension begins on Nov. 30.
The suspension is not related to his client Jason Autry, a defendant in the Holly Bobo murder case or the case against Brandon Vandenburg, a former Vanderbilt football player charged with rape. Herbison is part of the defense team representing Vandenburg.
According to AP, State documents say Herbison failed to communicate with two clients in 2011 and didn’t file an appeal for a third. He will also have to pay about $3,900 in fines.
