JACKSON Tenn. — (November 20 2014) — Wednesday night Jackson police were called to the Citgo convenience store on Old Hickory Boulevard regrading a disturbance in the parking lot.
According to investigators around 9:40 p.m., Erika Glenn and Gareta Trice were involved in an altercation on the parking lot of the Citgo located 588 Old Hickory Blvd. Investigators say the altercation was broken up by Trice’s boyfriend, Antwan Norman. According to the report, Glenn then got into a car and intentionally struck Trice on the parking lot. While the aggravated assault on Trice was still in progress, Norman fired shots at the car and struck a passenger, Glenn’s boyfriend, in the hand.
Investigators conferred with the District Attorney’s Office regarding the facts of the case. Authorities determined that Norman was acting in self-defense of Trice when he fired shots at Glenn. Norman will not be charged in the shooting; however, Antwan Norman is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
around 3:15 p.m. today Erika Glenn, 26, of Jackson was arrested for aggravated assault. Glenn is currently being held in the Madison County Jail. She is scheduled for a arraignment at 8 a.m. Friday in Jackson City Court.
Police are still seeking Antwan Norman. He is a black male, 26 years old, 6’ 1” tall and weighs 180 pounds. His last known address is in Hartland Place Apartments at 550 Old Hickory Blvd. in Jackson.
