JACKSON Tenn — “After the investigation is complete the evidence will be released to the public.” That is the promise of Chief Julian Wiser. Wiser said he wants the community to know his department will be transparent with the facts in this incident.

On Friday Wiser said, the entire struggle between his officer and a suspect that ended in the officer being stabbed and the suspect being fatally shot was recorded on the vehicle’s camera.

After the investigation is complete the facts from the investigation, including several witness statements and the dashboard-camera video from the patrol car, will be released.

According to the investigation report, Officer Raymond Dewayne Bond shot Cinque 20-year-old D’Jahspora, of Jackson, after D’Jahspora attacked and stabbed him.

Police Chief Julian Wiser said “Officer Bond was placed on routine, paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of our investigation,”

Wiser said Bond was one of several police officers who were dispatched to an area near the entrance to Timberlake Estates on North Parkway around 4:36 p.m. to investigate a man causing a disturbance.

As Officer Bond arrived in the area, he observed a man, now identified as D’Jahspora, on the side of the road, who matched the description provided by the caller reporting the disturbance.

According to police, the officer got out of his patrol car to investigate and was immediately attacked and stabbed by D’Jahspora. Bond then shot D’Jahspora. according to the investigative report.

Ambulance crews transported D’Jahspora and Officer Bond to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. D’Jahspora was pronounced dead at the emergency room. Officer Bond was treated and released.

Officer Bond was hired by the Department in December 2010.

D’Jahspora’s body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville for autopsy
