MEDINA Tenn — Medina’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen have named Steve Grooms as police chief of the City of Medina.

Chief Grooms brings 16 years of experience in corrections, patrol, and criminal investigations to his new position as police chief.

Most recently, Grooms was the Security Manage at JAckson Madison County General Hospital.  Grooms also worked for the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department from 2007 – 2013.

Mayor Coleman said “I am pleased to have Chief Grooms join our staff.  His proven leadership and dedication to protect and serve will strengthen our city’s reputation as a safe and growing community.”
