JACKSON, Tenn.(October 30, 2014) –Police say an attempted home invasion ends with one person shot and four suspects are in custody
It all started police say when suspects attempted a home invasion of a home on Whitehall Street in east Jackson.
Chief Julian Wiser told WNWS that three suspects were taken into custody almost immediately and within an hour of the incident a forth suspect was captured.
According to Wiser, the victim received a non-life-threatening wound to the leg. He was transported to an area hospital.
Wiser said an overwhelming police presence was quickly on the scene.
Police say three of the four suspects are under the age of 18.
Authorities have not released the names pending charges against four suspects.
Lincoln Elementary and Jackson Central-Merry High School were put on lockdown as a precaution..
